life is suga.
So im in sugarland with emmie, and it turns out that we are seriously on the same food wavelength, like we should maybe have a cooking show. Today we went to three different grocery stores for three different reasons (fiesta, heb, whole foods) and then finally returned home munchin' on a vosges hazlenut chocolate bar, typical. We then cooked up this baby for lunch, bliss.

Breakin the ice.
The first and most classic and comforting meal i ever made at morningside. Involved Greek Salad with ice cold water from a mason jar. Even in the moving process, there is room for a bit of produce, if ya make it. This is my favorite bowl as well, Jessica threw and glazed it for me about, wow has it been two years ago already?! time flies! enjoy this little slice of greece mixed with a little classic southern charm, opa ya'll!
The pasta, the trip, the idea.
I've been meaning to make a blog that chronicles my life through food for a while now. Mostly because i love food and i love to photograph but also because its a bit of a creative outlet for me. Furthermore i recently moved into a new place with two other girls who also love to cook and eat. Theres nothing heavy here, this is about food, beautiful fair clean delicious food. Emmie and her Mom came to stay with us in atlanta on their trip down from dc and eventually onward to Texas. I had planned to hitch with them to Houston and am there now. And so while this blog is mostly the goodness that takes place at morningside, Im going to involve a few travel foodie pics as well. This is the last meal i made before we departed from the house due west. The weary travels well enjoyed this latest creation. Quinoa pasta with a basil butter lemon sauce, egyptian sweet basil with fresh roma tomatoes tossed in for some freshness. Tangy, improvised, much needed. Buon Appetito!
